The worst menu options, ambience and quality I’ve ever had since i moved to the US. We took the lunch buffet and here comes the honest review. The idlee felt like covered in plastic— even a week old idli made at home and microwaved gets softer than that. There was no plain rice and we reminded them to refill it thrice! The veggie-noodles had only noodles(not sure who ate all the veggies) , the so called salad tray had only onions! Just one curry for the naan… definitely left everything but samosa because we had to fill ourselves before starting to drive back!! No yogurt/curds.. not to forget the fryums — don’t spend here on fryums , you may get better and cheaper options elsewhere! Or better get a pack from grocery. To top that, we waited near the table for 15 minutes for the table to be cleaned and we could start. It was not crowded at all, just that mostly every table was left unattended!

We came in about 6:30pm on a Sunday and there were very few people. It’s a come in and sit where you like kinda place. We ordered the cilantro lime soup and it was good. The last time I had that soup it was green and verry citrusy. This one was mostly clear and colorless with a little chicken and lots of scallions. The soup was piping hot and pleasantly if not delicately flavored. None of the flavors were overpowering and the lime flavor was just about perfect. It was refreshing and substantial. There were kids running around and a bit of noise but I am guessing they were the owners children. They quieted down fairly quickly. The service was very slow and on the French or Toronto kinda vibe (they have no care to remember anything that is asked for). No silverware to eat with, no water or lemon to go with it, and he forgot to bring plates. The food tasted great the mughlai with chicken was very tasty. It was a creamy curry with cashew and almond but I did not really get the taste of either almonds or cashews. It seemed to me to be a basic biryani sauce. The chicken was tender and there was a hard boiled egg in it. The lamb chops were very thin and grilled. They were cooked to well

The food is flavorful, fresh, and authentic, with perfectly balanced spice The service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming—great for both casual dining and special meals. If you’re craving quality Indian cuisine in College Station, Monk’s Indian Bistro is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

On vacation of our anniversary. And wife tied saree for the second time, we happen to decide go to this restaurant over brick oven pizza. Ordered Dynamte Chicken biryani, Vegitable biryani. Atmosphere and Service are very good. Dynamite chicken has more oil and longer chewy. Wife liked Vegitable biryani and give 4.5 start. As a appetizer we had Manchurian paneer, must try4star.

While this was our first experience at the restaurant, my Son had visited it 2 to 3 times in the past. We ordered three dishes - Paneer Dynamite, Paneer Biryani and Chicken Biryani. All the dishes were awesome. The taste of the dishes were no different from what we get back there in India, so it was really an awesome experience. We requested to Medium spicy for our Paneer Biryani, which we found slightly on a higher side in terms of spiciness, but that's my personal opinion. They have good vegetarian options and hence recommend for vegetarians, too. Service was prompt and staff was courteous. Restaurant has a pleasing ambience with light music. Ample parking available.
